two days before i left korea, on wednesday, february 21st, i hung out with my good friends sam and yejee on last time. we started off with a delicious dinner in a really small and inexpensive place in an alley in 홍대 (hongdae). yejee went to school around there so she knew of the good and cheap places all around. this one was famous for large portions and really delicious fish.

sam's younger cousin was with us for dinner, and afterwards we went to this cool little shop where they have all these photo booths to take pictures with your friends. we exchanged some farewell presents there and they gave me some really nice treats.

after that we went to red mango for some yogurt. i think sam's cousin was bored because the conversation was all in english and maybe she wasn't able to keep up with it. she ended up just going home, and meanwhile yejee's boyfriend jisoo joined us. he lived for many years in indonesia, but was educated in an international school so he can speak english perfectly. recently he'd graduated from college after majoring in industrial design and was looking for a job in the footwear design field. after the yogurt shop was closing we moved on to a bar nearby and had a drink.

from there we went to 노래방 (noraebang, korean karaoke), and amazingly it was the first time i'd gone with them after two years in korea. we had a good time, and yejee and jisoo teamed up for some good hip-hop/r&b duets. see for yourself:
