a few days before i was set to leave korea, i had a farewell dinner with some teachers from my school. these were the teachers that i taught in an informal english class once a week for a lot of the year. often we would go out to dinner after the class, so this was one final gathering before i left.

after dinner heather had to take off, but the rest of us went to a local arcade and played some games.

adel's daughter leena playing the crane game
at dinner leena gave me a very nice goodbye card. she was definitely one of my pals among the students at school. she loved playing soccer, so we'd often play together. sometimes she and her friends would put me on my own team against four or five of them.
chan playing another arcade game
chan was making some really funny expressions while he played, so i had to get a video of it.
after we'd had our fill of arcade fun, adel took leena home and chan and i went to a nearby japanese bar. we had some drinks and after a while adel came back to meet us.
some delicious odaeng (fish cakes) soup
finally we ended up where many korean nights on the town end up, noraebang!
