after i got back from checking out heena's art exhibition on sunday, january 28th, i decided to cook up a big korean meal at home. this time i tried to make a version of spicy pork that is one of my most favorite foods in the whole world, ì œìœ¡ë³¶ì?Œ (jaeyook bokkem). i also tried to make a vegetable side dish for the first time ever. i chose to make 시금치나물 (shigeumchi namul), which is basically blanched spinach mixed with sesame oil and a few other ingredients.
jaeyook bokkeum
the pork didn't come out like i expected, but it was still delicious
the spinach was super easy and tasted great, so i've since made it many times
nice solid sunday evening meal
if you want to try either of these dishes, i got the jaeyook bokkeum recipe from this site that includes lots of other recipes (look on the left). and the shigeumchi namul (spinach) recipe came from the as always excellent korean kitchen.
