sunday, january 8th was a big day in the philadelphia area as their beloved eagles were playing a playoff game at home against the rival new york giants. i was flying back in from my trip to boston, and as we landed we actually flew really low in past the stadium as the game was being played. by the time i got home it was just about time for the second half to begin.
my parents invited my sister, her husband joe, and little ben over for dinner and to watch the game. we watched the second half together, and the eagles pulled out the win. shortly after the game finished, we sat down for dinner. mom made a thanksgiving-like meal of turkey since i was in korea for the last two thanksgivings.
playoff dinner
by the time we sat down for dinner ben was feeling a little grumpy
some delicious turkey, i like the dark meat (nice and juicy)
apple sauce has always been a dinnertime staple in our family
can't have turkey without stuffing
beneath those crispy onions lies a very good green bean casserole
after the meal ben changed into his pajamas and chilled with his daddy on the floor
