on friday, october 27th i was invited to check out a graduate exhibition from industrial design students at hongik university. yejee's boyfriend 지수 (jisoo) was graduating from the program. most of the graduates focused on car design, which i didn't find all that interesting. some of the other product ideas and designs were cool, and jisoo had one of the more unique projects, the only footwear in the entire show.

jisoo is very enthusiastic about sneakers and shoes. he explained to me in great detail all about his designs and why he made certain decisions in certain areas. it's always interesting to me reminded how enthusiasm and passion go a long way towards creating something excellent. and the shoes were excellent. jisoo had connections with a reebok factory somewhere and was able to get them to make six pairs of his design.
