today after walking from my house to downtown seoul i decided to check out ì²ê³„천 (cheonggyecheon), a stream with walkways that was restored and opened to the public last year. i'd seen it briefly before, but never got the chance to actually take a stroll along it.
cheonggyecheon
it all starts with this fountain downtown near city hall
then it flows down this little waterfall
and then it continues through downtown seoul for almost 6 kilometers
another stretch down the stream
lots of people enjoying the shade under one of many bridges that crosses over
at certain spots like this you can cross over to the other side
i didn't walk the whole way, but stopped and got this shot from above
why doesn't los angeles do something like this to the disgusting and pathetic LA river?
