friday, april 28th was hyejin's doctor friend soyoung's birthday. so on sunday the 30th, we met for dinner at an indian restaurant near 역삼역 (yeoksam station). the last time i had indian food was with charles in san francisco back in february, and this was just as good as the last time.

later we also got some chicken tikka masala, my personal favorie, and another seafood curry that was really good, too. and no indian food would be complete without some delicious nan, we ordered one plain variety and another garlic one. last time we hung out with soyoung she mentioned that i didn't usually seem to eat a lot. i found that surprising, and one look at my increasingly expanding belly would prove otherwise. but on this day there could be no doubt, i wasn't much for conversation because i was busy stuffing myself.

after the meal we took a walk past all the tall buildings in yeoksam to a cafe hyejin has discovered earlier and wanted to check out. we ordered coffees and a piece of new york cheesecake that substituted as birthday cake on this occasion.
