on sunday, february 26th, i met up with hyejin and her friend soyoung at technomart to get myself a new cell phone. last year i wasn't really happy with the one i had, but since i inherited it from the school and it was free i couldn't complain much. still i was looking forward to the chance to pick one out for myself. here's what i ended up with:

it's a slide phone, so to talk or enter numbers, you slide the face up.

it has english menus, it can play mp3s, and it also has a 1.3 megapixel camera built into it.

all this, and it was only $100! i was luck to have hyejin there because they said if i put it in her name i could save a lot of money. i guess they have had problems with foreigners skipping the country without paying their bill so usually they charge them more. so i got a really good deal not just on the phone, but on the monthly service as well. i like the menus and functionality of it a lot better than my last phone, so overally i'm quite pleased. in a way it's just a phone, but in another sence it's a gadget i'll end up using every day, so it's nice that i had the chance to pick it out and hopefully i'll be happy with it while i'm here.
