on my way out to finish up some christmas shopping last week i came across a huge flock of birds presumably on their way south for the winter.

there must have been thousands of them, they were perched on the roof of this house, but tons of them were flying in a circle about one hundred yards wide. after stopping the car to gaze at them i continued on where i saw even more. along the main road out of my parents' development there were birds perched in every tree and along the telephone wires for about a half a mile. inevitably i was reminded of a certain movie.
