one thing i'd really been missing while in korea was being able to watch football games on television. i didn't have a working tv and the games started at 2:00a anyway.

so my first sunday back in the states i settled down in front of the television and watched my first game since the super bowl back in january. counting the pregame shows that started at 11:00a, i ended up enjoying a football marathon of over twelve hours. unfortunately my dallas cowboys lost to the new york giants, but i saw good games between the bengals and steelers and the chiefs and broncos.

it was a lot of fun to be able to watch again, but i was reminded of all the annoyances i had forgotten about, like the repetitive commercials and dimwitted announcers. still, since i was ten years old i've been a huge football fan, and it was nice catching up on it after missing it for a year.
