i spent the first couple of days at home just sleeping and trying to get adjusted to the fourteen hour time difference. it has been very nice just having a vacation and getting some time to rest.

saturday, december 4th, my sister and her husband joe came over for dinner. my mom made a turkey dinner since i had missed thanksgiving a few weeks before.

i got a kick out of seeing my parents fitting well into their new role as grandparents. they've had a lot of practice spoiling all of our cousins for years, but finally they've got the grandchild they've been waiting for. they constantly fight over who gets to hold ben, and you have to tear him out of their arms to get some time with him yourself.
