i got some last pictures with my afternoon classes back on friday, november 25th.
from left: nick, scott (in the back), elizabeth, sue, and me. this was one of my favorite classes, that i taught every monday, wednesday, and friday for the entire year i was at the school. some kids came and went, but these four were there most of the year. sue started off not knowing hardly any english, but improved a lot over the year, especially with her conversation. she was always really excited and eager to tell me about whatever she could think of, and over time became one of my favorite students.
from left: ally, sunny, ben (in back), tom, brandon, danny (in back), nick, jonathan, lisa, scarlet, and me. this class was really smart and very good with english. unfortunately they were a bit hard to control sometimes since there were just so many of them. at first this class used to stress me out, but over time we grew to like each other a lot.
from left: eric, john, steve, sally, sarah, julie, kevin, and me. this class was absolutely crazy, and therefore a lot of fun. they couldn't speak any english at all when they started, and it was rewarding to see their skills grow and develop so quickly. they were my last class of the day on monday, wednesday, and friday, so i would usually let them play a game for the last five or ten minutes. they loved simon says, memory, and finally seven-up.
