on sunday, november 20th, i met up with sam and yejee near yejee's college in 신촌 (sinchon). since i was still suffering pretty good with my cold, yejee suggested we eat some 삼계탕 (samgyaetang), which was a really delicious chicken soup that i think was really helpful for my cold.

after that we walked over to a nearby movie theater where we saw the brothers grimm. i didn't know anything about it except that it might have something to do with fairy tales. it was okay, i guess in the end i can't say i really enjoyed it all that much. but i hadn't been to see a movie in so long, so that was fun.

after the movie we went for some traditional tea, which again was good for my cold. after the tea we were getting hungry again, but we couldn't find anywhere that would have something good to snack on. finally we decided to go to �대 (hongdae), where right in front of yejee school was a stand that sold new york style pizza.

as soon as we got there, i had one of those flashes of recognition as i had visited that area before three years ago on my first trip to korea. we sat down in a sort of tiny park on a ridge and i enjoyed my pepperoni slice even though it came with just three slivers of pepperoni.

i look like i'm pissed or something, while sam is like, whatever. i was a little sad because i thought it might be our last time to hang out before i left korea, but luckily we got a chance to get together on more time the next week.
