lunar new year

yesterday was the start of the lunar new year, also known as the chinese new year, which was the reason i've been off all week. jerry bought over lots of food from his mom for me, so i cooked it all up for lunch. it was really delicious, see for yourself.

갈비찜 (kalbi jjim, steamed beef)

잡채 (chap chae, a mixed dish of noodles, vegetables and sliced beef)

wow, it's so much food, i'm set for the next few days or so. the kimchi will last me a while, which i'm really excited about. that was so nice of jerry and his mom, thank you!!!
